Courses and training are important activities

To really master computer programs properly, it is essential to have a good workflow. Employees who are well trained in the applications they use will also be more effective. Therefore, courses and training are a good investment.

Digitread offers courses for both customers with new software installations and to existing customers who want to learn more.

  • For those who purchase our software for the first time we offer a comprehensive package. Courses and training are important parts of this package, states Pål Henrik Førrisdahl, PLM Engineer at Digitread.

Customized training and new training facilities
The nature of the training provided to new customers largely depends on whether they have bought NX, Teamcenter or Solid Edge, but usually basic training on new programs lasts from two to five days.

  • We always adapt our courses so that training is at the appropriate level in relation to the competencies the various companies have, which program they use and for what purpose they will be using their software.

Training can take place either at the customer’s site or in our new training premises in Sandvika. Here, we have a new training room that seats eight participants and houses state-of-the-art computer facilities.

Standard training for beginners and customized courses
Different businesses have different needs; therefore, it is important that the courses offered are customized to match each company’s individual scope of activities. To obtain an overview and get started with the programs, it is common for users to start with a basic course. Then, once they have familiarized themselves with the program, companies often want more specialized courses within the subjects that they wish to intensify their knowledge in or where they want to grasp work processes that are more efficient.

  • We have clients who work in many different spheres. One company may be designing cars, while another customer is bending pipes. Thus, the same software is able to manage the most varied of scenarios. Our most important task is to help them and customize courses to fit the company’s needs.

Tools to work smarter
– We aim to focus even more on courses and training in the future since there are many reasons to give employees proper training. When we look into what the designers are working with, we can often show them new ways to perform the same tasks. The software includes a number of possibilities, but it is not certain that users are familiar with all of them. We can help them become even more effective and to execute some of their tasks in a simpler way. Hence, we plan to predominantly concentrate on tips and tricks and how to work smarter.
